Paraíso, this is the title of the fourth album by Adelaida, the Valparaíso’s trio who, for this time, do not revoke the urban passages, in an album that is ready to capture the emotions and portray it for generations of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

When starting the album, the first thing that catches the attention is a violent and elusive guitar. As the first track, Columpio is an unrestrained whirlwind that disassembles touches of noise rock. Accompanied by the consignment «Ya no soy», is drawn a relief of distortions and explosions, followed by calm lapses that awaken the most melodic of its sound. This is noted more in the following song, Aurora, rhythmic piece that inspires us blurred idylls that touch the breeze by the waterfront, «No hay direcciones»; choirs coming out of the curtain, in conjunction with an excellent riff with possible influences from the surf rock. The pulses are accelerated with the arrival of Los dientes, thundering song, underground and punketa, but with many details. Like the previous songs, it shows that cycle that you rest in breaths and cathartic screams. 1999, is the landscapes song, both retrospective and introspective, with a style that highlights the band’s more indie rock sound and the anachronism they pursue, with influences from the 80’s and 90’s, but bring our cool fashionable era. «Te va a hacer bien olvidarme”, a personal canticle with sound for the beach. It follows, Velocidad, which continues the wave, and submerges in seconds and in coordinates of danceable rhythm. Coming to the middle of the album, Huracán, is an awakening and a deep exhalation, “quiero saber si cambiarás, para bien o para mal”. It emphasizes its delicate closing in notes of a piano.

The songs that follow, are diluted in a variety of sounds: Astronube reduces the atmospheric complexity and balances the march. Cienfuegos, takes the turns of a turbulence that is suspended and a dirt that escapes the garage, with a very grunge touch, both in percussions, string instruments and especially guitar solo. From Eco, the descent begins, Jurel’s voice continues to expel emotions, which seek to detonate and extinguish at the same time. With Marina, a dark arpeggio transmits shipwreck and blindness. Algo de mí, perpetuates the nebula and trapped us with the echoes that dot the spas, reflective of lunar images.

Approaching the end, arrives La muerte, beautiful song with a female voice that baptizes the spectral ode. A sound synaesthesia brings us the flowers of the cemetery and makes us ramble nostalgically “los diferentes caminos de la felicidad». Creofalso, being perhaps one of the heaviest and monotonous songs, is to re-test engines, in a rebound and a constant confinement. Despedida en la nieve, photograph the end of this album. With a duet of voices, it turns out to be harmonic, playful and misplaced at the same time, ceasing effects to give us the goodbye.

A kaleidoscope of impulses tender, aggressive, but mostly mature. Perhaps that is the way to summarize this Paraíso; Music that springs from the skin with the need to take on chromatic sensations. When you hear it more than once, you discover what is hidden beyond the tip of this icerbeg. They still enjoy their frigid, suffocating details even more.
