Dos años han pasado desde el debut oficial de la banda de metal chileno, Costra, agrupación comandada por Alessandro Innocenti y de la cual tuve la oportunidad de ver en vivo en su primer show. Desde esa presentación hasta el lanzamiento digital de su primera largaduración, pasaron un par de años, si bien cambió la formación, la esencia de la banda se mantuvo, logrando interpretar un metal crudo, directo y ruidoso, el cual quedó plasmado íntegramente en “Releasing The Hate”

El disco comienza con  “Just Another Clone” canción escogida para quedar plasmada en el primer videoclip de la banda y que de alguna manera resume la crudeza que se intepretará durante toda la placa compuesta por 8 tracks.  Un tema Thrash metal, simple pero muy efectivo.

“Spit On Your Grave” continua con la sólida interpretación de Costra, con decibeles altos, riff pegajosos y la ira reflejada en una interesante interpretación vocal. “Vuelo Rasante” la tercera pieza de este disco, parte de forma densa y pausada integrando elementos hard rock en la interpretación, también es el primer tema hecho en español del álbum, algo importantísimo para darte a conocer en tu propio continente y país.

“Anxiety Disorder” tema melódico que gusta por su simpleza y fuerza, y que es fácil de digerir sin importar que supere los 5 minutos, también se agradece el cambio de ritmo que se realiza en el último pasaje de la canción. “No more” me recordó a Motorhead, sobre todo en los riff iniciales, otro tema que produce una buena sensación, sin dudas Costra es una banda para escuchar en vivo, ya que a pesar de no interpretar temas tan virtuosos, demuestran otros talentos, como la sinceridad y la brutalidad.

“Oscura demencia”, segundo tema en castellano y que dura 7 minutos, parte con una pequeña introducción casi country y desemboca nuevamente en riffs densos y oscuros. Un tema que después acelera el ritmo, pero que nunca deja la densidad mostrada del inicio.

“Releasing The Hate” tema que titula este primer largaduración de Costra y sin dudas uno de los puntos altos de este trabajo, tema enérgico, entretenido y brutal, me gusta la mezcla constante entre el hard rock y el metal.

“Cráneos Partidos” último tema que cierra este debut discográfico, hecho en castellano mostrando un demoledor inicio que deriva en un thrash metal como realmente gusta, directo y al grano.

Estamos ante un disco verdadero, con identidad y que no se parece a nada que haya escuchado antes. Sólo queda prenderse uno y disfrutarlo junto al metal criollo de Costra.

It’s been a while since the debut of the metal chilean band named Costra group led by Alessandro Innocenti. I had the opportunity of watching their first show live since that performance until the digital release of the first lp it’s been a couple of years and they even changed the formation but the essence of the band remained managing to interpret a raw direct and noisy metal, which was reflected in full in «Releasing The Hate» .

The album begins with «Just Another Clone» chosen to be captured in the first video of the band and that somehow sums up the rawness that will feel throughout the entire album with 8 tracks song. Thrash metal simple but very effective .

«Spit On Your Grave» continues the strong performance of Costra high-decibel , sticky riff and anger reflected in an interesting vocal performance.  «Flight Curled « the third piece of this disc shaped part dense and hard rock slowly integrating elements of interpretation, is also the first theme made in spanish something very important to make yourself known in your own continent and country.

«Anxiety Disorder» melodic theme that i like it for its simplicity and strength, and that is easy to digest regardless exceeding 5 minutes, the change of pace that takes place in the last passage of the song is also appreciated.  «No more « reminded me Motorhead , especially in the initial riff , another topic that produces a good feeling , no doubt Costra is a band to listen live‘cause despite not interpret songs so virtuous  show other talents, such as sincerity and brutality.

«Dark dementia» is the second theme in spanish and lasts 7 minutes, partly with a small introduction almost country and flows back into dense and dark riffs. One issue after accelerates the pace but never leaves home density shown.

«Releasing The Hate» theme that titles this first Lp scab without doubt, one of the high points of this work, energetic, entertaining and brutal theme. I like the constant mix of hard rock and metal.

«Skulls Parties” last theme that closes this album debut , made in spanish showing a devastating start to drift into a thrash metal as I really like , direct and to the point . We are facing a real album with identity and not like anything you’ve heard before. Just lit one up and enjoy this homemade trash metal band
